The Ministry of External Affairs, in association with the CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, recently has launched the passport-related services through the vast network of over one lakh CSCs across India. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state, the services would soon be offered through the Mee Seva centres in both rural and urban areas.
A workshop for Mee Seva Operators already started from Viskhapatnam (vizag), Vijayanagaram, Srkakulam, East Godavari and Hyderabad districts was organised at the Passport Seva Kednra (PSK).
The applicant would pay Total Rs.100, Rs.30 per application Rs.70 per operator. The operator would have to fill the form online on behalf of the applicant, accept the fee and schedule the appointment at the PSK. operators to ensure that the applicant was residing in the jurisdiction of the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK), where he was applying. Applicants living in AP can apply through the PSKs in Vizag, Vijayawada or Tirupathi but those living in Hyderabad could apply Telangana only.
While applying the passport through Mee seva the applicant should submit their photo ID and address proof.
